Electronic room thermostats are typically used with boiler and wall-mounted radiator heating systems.
However, they can also be used in other heating systems, such as underfloor heating, where the reference room temperature is used to adjust the heat source, either directly or via zone valves.
Optimum thermal comfort is achieved in the room by setting the desired room temperature.
The thermostat also includes a frost protection setting, which prevents damage from freezing temperatures and standby/off mode, while minimizing energy consumption.
When a temperature is selected, a green LED confirms that the device is on and operating. The LED turns red when there is a heat demand and the output relay is on.
The programming function provides full heating program control. A program can be set to suit the user's heating demands, significantly reducing home heating costs by only heating the building when needed.
The thermostat can be set to a 5-day program or a 24-hour program, depending on user preference. If desired, the program can be deactivated and the device used manually as a room thermostat. Four activity times (two heating periods) can be selected for morning and evening.
Clock in 12-hour or 24-hour format.
